Ducati Club Race 9th & 10th June 2007
July 2nd, 2007We arrived at Assen in time for qualifying as practice day had been fully booked very early on I did feel a little sorry for our rider jumping straight into qualifying at a track he had never been to before & its a hard track to learn, He qualified 19th in a field of 49 (with only 43 slots for race day) to say we were very happy with our grid position would be a slight understatement certainly after finding out what we had actually entered was not the Ducati club race but the Sound of Thunder International race series against European supersport champions, Danish superstock riders & NCR Corse rider Valter Bartolini.
Sunday was two ten lap races and it had cooled a little from Saturdays baking heat although it was still mighty hot!!! we got a good start in both the races finishing 12th in race one and 11th in race two, it certainly was an amazing weekend and one we would love to compete in again next year.
