Donington Park 12/08/07

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

Sorry for the delay in updating you all we have been very busy with the Duke

Donington went well we qualified on pole and in the race led from the front while settingfastest lap after fastest lap until we were black flagged at the end of lap 11 of 12, we hadsome smoke coming from the bike which turned out to be oil leaking from the catchment tank.

The reason for the oil started with a very disorganised grid line-up where the riders wereheld for over 7 minutes, the temperature got well over 100 degrees damaging the pistons, rings, barrels, bearings and the likes so it has taken up some time stripping and rebuilding the engine.

We were invited to take our 1098 to Silverstone and meet the Ducati Xerox junior team it was a once in a life time experiance chatting to the whole team it was very interesting to compare the two bikes, our power output is the same as theirs so we must be doing something right.

Ducati Club Race 9th & 10th June 2007

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

We arrived at Assen in time for qualifying as practice day had been fully booked very early on I did feel a little sorry for our rider jumping straight into qualifying at a track he had never been to before & its a hard track to learn, He qualified 19th in a field of 49 (with only 43 slots for race day) to say we were very happy with our grid position would be a slight understatement certainly after finding out what we had actually entered was not the Ducati club race but the Sound of Thunder International race series against European supersport champions, Danish superstock riders & NCR Corse rider Valter Bartolini.

Sunday was two ten lap races and it had cooled a little from Saturdays baking heat although it was still mighty hot!!! we got a good start in both the races finishing 12th in race one and 11th in race two, it certainly was an amazing weekend and one we would love to compete in again next year.

Cadwell Park 27/28th May

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

Saturdays practice saw Skelly have a huge highside, he wasnt to badly damaged thanks to Held gloves & Forcefield body armour although he was still bruised and battered with a very swolen hand (thankfully not broken).

Sunday’s first race was sadly a DNF due to an electrical problem (torrential rain didn’t help) second race saw us finish in fourth.

Monday’s races didnt go quite as planned due to a very stiff brake hand and yet more torrential rain leaving us with two fourth places but still leading the championship (Phew).

Now we are off to Assen for the Ducati club race on the 10th June. Wish us luck

The weekend went well for us (still a few glitches to iron out) with two race wins on Sunday then Mondays rain came down leaving us happy with 2nd & 4th place finishes. So its off to Cadwell with a 40 point lead in the championship lets hope we can keep it that way.
