Oulton Park

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

There were a few handling issues with the back end during Friday practice which we managed to iron out by late afternoon.  Race day qualifying was a little disappointing as our times were slightly down compared to Friday pm we did however qualify 2nd on the grid (cant complain at that). We had a fantastic start in both races ending in two race wins, which puts us 10 points ahead in the championship as we head off to Snetterton this weekend.

The Rat Gets Special Attention

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Huge thanks to Alistair who has kindly given up his time to help us with the Red Rat at this time of year Mark is so busy he only has evenings to work on it, we try to help in small ways I make a good cup of tea tea small.jpg & Skelly is very good at rounding off allen bolts skelly small.jpg and applying stud-lock to anything that can’t move. Hmmm perhaps Mark would be better off without our help……

I foolishly left the boys alone with the bike and came back to guilty faces He did it and the bike in three pieces 100_0645.jpg thankfully it didn’t take long to put it back together in time for Alistair to work his magic as you can see Al 2small.jpg it takes lots of concentration. We are all set for Oulton Park tomorrow I only have the van to pack before waving them off then sitting here nervously waiting for updates.

Racing at Snetterton

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Practice at Snetterton threw up a few handling issues which we tried to resolve with a trip back to the workshop on Friday night for a few alterations which made a slight improvement for Saturday’s race where we had two race wins, Sunday threw up another challenge …..Snow, hail & strong winds which didn’t help with the handling issues we ended the day with a 4th and a DNF there are a lot of things to do before the next race at Oulton Park on the 28th April.

Gone Racing (at last)

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Well its been a hectic week here at BSD, not only have we had our proper work to do with a very full diary but we have had to put the finishing touches to the 1098 (lovingly known as the Red Rat) using finishing touches in the loosest term, since on monday we had a very basic fairing, no screen, stickers or set up.

After what seems like months of running around at last the Red Rat has gone to Snetterton for its first race.
